We purchased our property in Argyle in 2020 with immediate plans to build in two phases (a barndominium with an office/gym first and then the main house a few years down the road). They say if you want God to laugh, tell him your plans. He was laughing pretty hard at this one...so was the City of Denton, but that another story for another time.

Needless to say, we faced several setbacks. We had major issues with permitting resulting scraping the custom-designed barndominium that we spent month dreaming up and going back to the drawing board to design the main house. That coupled with unprecedented building supply issues and soaring lumber costs made the first seven months of the "building process" a bit of a struggle. However, we prevailed. After almost 6 months, we were able to secure building permits and finalized the main house design in mid-March 2021. We are hoping to break ground in at the end of April so stay tuned!
