Iris Acres is located in beautiful Argyle, Texas. We raise ADGA registered Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats for show, milk, and frankly because they are the most fun animal you can have on the farm! What started out as a little homeschool ag project for our family has become so much more! We are a newer herd and have taken great pride and care in selecting our foundational goats from only the most respected, responsible breeders.

We think it is important that our does have the opportunity to care for their young, so we dam raise kids unless bottles are required. Our human kids (and their parents) spend a lot of time loving on our animals and our goats are incredibly friendly and loving. You can expect that any goat raised by us has been loved and handled on a daily basis.

 

We prefer using natural methods, but will use chemical treatments and antibiotics when necessary. Our goats are dewormed based on the results of fecal tests, not on a schedule. Our herd is disease-free. Visit our herd health page for more information. 

 

We have the utmost respect for our animals and Nigerian Dwarf Goats are an absolute joy to our family. I can't imagine life without their silly personalities and sweet dispositions.
