"Chewy"
Chewbacca (“Chewy”) is one of three barn cats we adopted from Barn Cats, Inc. They are a nonprofit that places feral or abandoned cats that are next to be euthanized. This guy is a gentle giant. You can find him tight walking the beams in the barn or waiting for his next meal! Not sure if he is catching mice, but he sure is getting a lot of love from my two little kiddos!

BTW, his ear is clipped purposefully to indicate that he has been neutered in case he wanders off.
Darth
The force is strong with this one.

Meet Darth Vader. He is our most cautious barn cat and I often wonder what his life was like before he came to us. He is so pretty and sleek and I love seeing him creep around the hayloft. With time, I hope he comes to trust us and becomes more sociable. If not, he will always have a home in our barn.
Princess Leia
Princess Leia completes our current barn cat crew. She is already 8 years old and a tiny little thing who it always looking for attention.

This sweet kitty was attacked by a dog and had her back end completely mangled. Her hind legs are a bit weak and she definitely favors them, but she can get around the barn with ease. Her previous owners didn’t want a “damaged” cat and dropped her off at the shelter following the dog attack. They fixed her up and we were able to rescue her from being euthanized. She is a kind soul and our daughter adores her. She is also the only of the three cats who is not scared of Hercules. Go figure.
